Situated on a hillside overlooking a marvellous view of the Fjord, Lier Kommune have built a
high quality superbly designed care and residential facility for Senior Citizens.

Ragnhild Monsen was commissioned to supply her unique art for the enjoyment of all who
reside in or visit this facility. She was involved with the project at an early stage in it's construction.

The art reflects the seasons of life using the metaphors of nature. It comprises four elements:
three tapestries and a series on 'installation focus points'. The use of colour, form and textual
structure echo phases of nature and hint at treasured memories of long-experienced lives.
